Preschooler Day

9:00 a.m. Drop-off & Outside Play
The children begin their morning outside on the playground for an hour of gross motor activities, social learning, crafts, and nature exploration.

10:00 a.m. Nest Time
Circle time in the "Nest" is devoted to music, movement, drama, stories, and discussions. This time fosters group spirit and togetherness. There is a system for taking turns and developing important group listening skills.

10:30 a.m. Art Room, Snack, & Playroom
Children choose between a variety of arts & crafts projects and explore the ever-changing sensory table. A healthy snack is served simultaneously in the kitchen. After all of the children have enjoyed the snack, the Playroom opens up for dramatic play and fine motor activities.

11:30 a.m. Small Group Time
The children divide into two peer groups - Silver Stars (first year preschoolers) and Gold Circles (second year preschoolers) - for age appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive development and social interactions. Topics include: Health, Language Arts, Music, Math, and Science.

12:00 p.m. Pick-up
Children are dismissed in front of the school entrance.
